Networking & Events

Through our networking and events programme, the Centre brings together the individual components of the Centre into a cohesive community for cancer research.

The ethos of the Centre is that successful translational research requires a multidisciplinary approach. In order to best deliver this we must ensure effective networking locally, nationally and internationally.

We aim to support the sharing of best practice, information, expertise and technology both within our Centre and across the wider CRUK Centres’ Network. We can accomplish this through hosting workshops and other training events, enabling our staff to be trained by other centres of excellence, and continuing our leading role in delivering key trials initiatives such as CTRad, the ECMC combinations alliance, and NCRN-industry collaborations.

We support networking that benefits researchers (at all stages of their careers), technical staff, patients, and the public. We focus on clinical collaboration with other Centres to develop multi-site early phase trials and late phase activity.

Finally we plan to develop new collaborative working groups which can support other Centres in gaining access to the depth of fundamental research expertise available in Oxford.
